As the Judge of Tabriz Revolutionary court, branch 1, Rahim Hamlbar is responsible for heavy sentences carried out against journalists, Azari ethnic minority rights activists, civil rights activists, workers activists, “Save Urmia Lake” campaigners, two German journalists and Iranian university students in Azerbaijan, by accusing them of acts against national security, spying, insulting the leader of Iran, propaganda against Iranian regime and participating in international conferences. His judgments have not followed a normal and judiciary procedure and the detainees were forced to false confessions.
