Iran Fact Finding Archive for Action (in Farsi, Haghighat-Yab) aims to accelerate the process of truth- finding. It will achieve this by increasing public access to documents and evidence on human rights violations and mobilizing ordinary citizens and activists to challenge the authorities’ narratives of past and present violations and to claim accountability and justice.
Iran Fact Finding Archive for Action is an archive where all verified evidence on human rights violations will be accessible to the public in a searchable and user-friendly manner. For each piece of evidence or each grouping (based on the type of evidence) the platform will engage visitors in activities ranging from sharing the ‘fact’ on their social media accounts and writing a short post on it to starting an online debate. Therefore, implementing the project fundamentally depends on a tool which converts the evidence of human rights abuses with different non-readable formats to html format. This tool should be internally accessible through a platform, and a website for the members of the public.
