Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance since September 2009. Ex-IRGC, he is complicit in the repression of journalists.
On 10 October 2011, the European Union published the names of 29 officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran including Dr Mohammad Hosseini (Aka: Dr Seyyed Mohammad Hosseyni ; Seyed, Sayyed and Sayyid) whom the E.U. asserts are “responsible for serious human rights violations” and is thus subjecting to travel bans and asset freezes.[1]
